I’m originally from Central Texas and relocated to Fort Worth on March 11, 2020. Five days later everything shut down. I’m still getting to know DFW and I love to get out and explore with my husband. When I’m not working, I’m hitting up antique shops, hanging out with my dogs, and watching movies/tv shows. I love to dabble in stained glass and knitting projects.
I became a counselor because I have a love of and a passion for people. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and teens (16+) who are struggling with interpersonal issues. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship concerns. I am welcoming of all beliefs, ethnicities, races, genders, and sexual orientations.
I have completed the Core Skills trainings for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), an approach created by Sue Johnson. I love EFT because it helps to identify and address a couple’s unique root cause of many relationship stressors. I use many of the EFT Techniques in therapy. I am also trained in Gottman Level I and Level II couples therapy and use many Gottman Methods in therapy.
